HUNT: A Political Drama
HUNT: A Political Drama
It’s the early 1950s. Senator Joe McCarthy gains power and destroys lives with witch-hunts against people he accuses of being communists or homosexuals. Wyoming Democratic Senator Lester Hunt fights the political tide and challenges McCarthy. Who is behind attempts to blackmail Hunt with homosexual allegations against his son? Based on actual historical events, this play explores an earlier period in U.S. history when demagoguery, the fight for political power, and homophobia combined with tragic results.
